Nintendo cuts price of DSi in US
Handheld now available for $150.
Nintendo has cut the price of the DSi in the US.
As of 12th September, the handheld will carry an RRP of $150 (just under £100). That represents a "savings" of $20 off the current price.
Big screen iteration DSi XL is also getting a price cut, coming down from $190 to $170. There's no change in the cost of the DS Lite, however, which will remain at $130.
Nintendo is no doubt hoping to shift stock before the arrival of the 3DS. An exact release date has yet to be announced, though NOA bossman Reggie Fils-Aime has promised it will be here by April.
Nintendo has yet to comment on whether similar price cut plans are in place for Europe.
