Infinity Gene for PSN/XBLA next month

Awesome Space Invaders update soon.

The official website for Space Invaders: Infinity Gene has been updated to say the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade versions will be out next month.

A trailer on the site concludes: "2010 September The Invasion Is Coming Again".

Infinity Gene was released for iPhone around this time last year and won rave reviews, including a 9/10 from us, thanks in large part to its boldness and imagination.

    Infinity Gene is the Rez of the current generation. Whether that's a good thing or not is your own decision.

    wouldn't it be the greatest irony if we were one day invaded by a 10 x 20 square block of vastly technologically advanced alien ships, bristling with weaponry, that could travel faster then light to get here, and we send out a solitary tank adapted to shoot directly upwards only to find out that as a defence tactic it's completely inadequate.

    Infinity Gene suits the iPhone so well, I'm not sure if it'd be as good without the touch-screen.

    I'd actually prefer to play this on my Xbox rather than the iPhone. My finger gets in the way on the iPhone while controlling the ship, and I'd expect they could expand upon the game a lot on a home console.
