Global Agenda gets UK retail release

Includes Sandstorm expansion.

Massively multiplayer first-person shooter Global Agenda will be available to buy from UK shops on 10th September.

The game was launched in February as a digital download.

The retail release also includes Global Agenda's Sandstorm expansion, which introduces new weapons, a story-driven mission experience within the Sonoran OpenZone and high-level Raid content.

Future localized versions of Global Agenda are planned, including a German retail version on 29th October.

In June Hi-Rez Studios dropped the optional subscription fee for the game.

Previously, much of the online game was playable as a standard one-off retail purchase, but you had to pay a subscription to access some features, including the large scale Agency-versus-Agency metagame.

"We have a very passionate Global Agenda community in Europe," said executive producer Todd Harris.

"And with the Sandstorm expansion, the upcoming UK retail release, and European servers we're excited to grow that community further."

Quintin Smith reviewed Global Agenda for Eurogamer in February, awarding it 6/10.

To be honest, it's a pretty lame game, having played it for a while.

It's a good game. But that last patch broke more than it fixed and added something noboday wanted or needed.

Pity, because I think it has a lot of potential. As F2P I should be a good prospect, but I think they are taking in the wrong direction.

"but you had to pay a subscription" this is incorrect they have NEVER charged a fee for this game, they were planning too after sandstorm when the game might have been worth paying for

The game isnt bad, but it isnt great, the AvA is pretty fun, as long as the team arent using tons of Tech,

Players can co-op with friends online, compete in fast-paced competitive multiplayer matches, and conquer persistent territory with player-formed groups called agencies. -County Line Nissan
