This could be my excuse to play it through for a 3rd time :D
  • ZuluHero #2 2 years ago

Shame this is instead of more DLC though. I'd rather be playing new content than the same old for the 3rd time. HR evokes such powerful emotions and is amazing when its new and fresh. It suffers from diminishing returns in subsequent playthroughs.

    Move: now revolutionizing QTEs!
  • Golgo #4 2 years ago

I want this (not with Move, obviously) but it's still £40 online and in shops. And I'm not sure I want it that bad.

I forget, is it cool to hate Kinect or Move now? Or are we back to hating the Wii?
  • Mkwone #6 2 years ago

Move is cool, we hate Kinect and resent the wii.

I've had heavy rain on my rentals list but when i heard it was getting the move treatment decided to postpone it. If i'mgoing to buy move i may as well play fantastic games on it.

Played this at Beta rooms with move controls, it's actually pretty good. The Shelby fight scene at the beginning is very good with move controls; it speaks volumes that when i played it with Move i didn't miss a single prompt.

    @Golgo

Its worth the investment, you wont play anything like it anytime soon and having played thru it twice im sure move support will only improve the experience. Its nice when investments/experiments like this turn out well, I'd have never predicted that this would outsell Alan Wake comfortably
  • OnlyMe #11 2 years ago

I've not bought it yet, so I'll probably get it when Move hits the stores.
  • CordableTuna #12 2 years ago

Bloody hell developers, Move isn't a thumb stick replacement! When throwing a basketball, why do you want me to move the stick up a bit instead of, you know, making a basketball throw?
(Same goes for Kinect and the Wiimote, of course.)

I sold mine on eBay for 25 quid when I heard no more dlc - no interest in
Playing the main game again :(
  • makeamazing #14 2 years ago

Yeah i played HR to death to get platinum (loved the game though, and would get any HR2 if they were making it)... ive seen the Move integration on some videos and it looks great. I dont think i will buy it again unfortunately, but this game is perfect for the device and recommend getting it with move if you were considering it.
  • Beano #15 2 years ago

Is this a brand new retail disc only or also update for existing owners?

I loved HR, but no way in hell I'm buying it again for Move support!

"Move the Dildo from right-to-left to assault the old man"
  • Mkwone #17 2 years ago

If you have the game already you can download a patch. New versions of the game have the patch on the disc.

I'm really amazed people said they played through Heavy Rain more than twice. Great game, but play it twice perhaps to see how everything fits together (well it does and it doesn't, but that's another story...) but three times plus?? :0

Anyway, it'll be awesome for Move control. And it should be cheap as chips by then...just over rental prices (and it's a rental in my book anyway).

Looks like a win-win to me (apart from the promised DLC which never materialised, I'll never trust Cage again, and this is the main reason I'm glad I rented rather than bought, even at the cheap price it is now. Developer lies = bad taste in my mouth).
  • Vergis69 #21 2 years ago

Ahh Heavy Rain...I really hope they or someone makes a game in a similar style. I loved that game, this move edition might be another reason to play it through again as Skandalle mentioned.
  • spiritsnake #22 2 years ago

they must include a training section to get to grips with the move controls.i cant understand how you're supposed to move the move with those icons in the pics.
  • Beano #23 2 years ago

In response to my own question above - there will be a free Move patch for owners of the original game. Nice :D
